Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) previously used surplus food-service funds to extend free breakfast and lunch beyond schools covered by the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). UW-Whitewater issued an active-threat-to-life-safety alert and shelter-in-place instruction on the first day of its fall classes after a report about a person in Andersen Hall.
