LS Cable & System, a South Korean cable and materials manufacturer founded in 1962, has put an 86-acre Greenbrier site in Chesapeake under contract for its LS Advanced Materials Manufacturing Complex. The planned facility is separate from the company’s LS GreenLink subsea-cable plant under construction elsewhere in Chesapeake. Together, the two projects represent nearly $1.4 billion in announced investment and are intended to expand domestic supply chains for energy, defense, and advanced manufacturing.

York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report at Wyndham Governor’s Green timeshares in York County on the morning of September 2, 2026.
