Tennessee’s roster biography identifies him as a Warwick, Bermuda, native and says he was a consensus four-star, top-80 recruit. Oxford’s water system has faced historically high summer demand after about 30 days of extreme heat and drought, alongside continued city growth. The city says outdoor irrigation accounts for more than half of peak consumption and is asking customers to reduce watering to protect water pressure and fire-protection reserves. Officials are pursuing capacity projects, though the city’s utility manager said it was not yet in a water crisis.
The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) is rebuilding an aging bus fleet while making service adjustments intended to improve reliability and reduce delays. The agency says its 2026 fleet plan includes 12 new fixed-route buses, with a further 12 planned for 2027; it also says 15 new paratransit buses are already in service. On September 2, MATA publicly rolled out its initial group of new buses in Memphis.
Tennessee linebacker Arion Carter’s eligibility case stemmed from his decision to enter the 2026 NFL Draft, sign with an agent and accept a $427.28 flight to a pre-draft training facility. After a foot injury, he withdrew from the draft, returned to Tennessee and repaid the flight expense. The NCAA initially imposed a three-game suspension, then reduced it to two games on appeal before cutting it to one game in late August.
The University of Tennessee announced a state-of-the-art sound system as part of 2026 fall gameday enhancements at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. The work is part of Pilot’s presenting partnership for the stadium renovation project, announced in 2024. Tennessee says the system is intended to improve clarity for PA announcements, music, referee microphones and in-game audio throughout the venue.
