Atrium Health announced a five-year, $340 million behavioral-health expansion on Oct. 15, 2026. Gaston County’s new aquatics center is in final construction stages in Dallas, off U.S. Highway 321. The nearly 40,000-square-foot facility is intended as a public competition and community swimming venue, with programming that includes swim lessons, aquatic therapy, and meets.
