The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a new Los Angeles museum founded by filmmaker George Lucas and entrepreneur Mellody Hobson in Exposition Park. Its inaugural presentation centers on visual storytelling across fine art, illustration, comics, manga, photography, murals and film artifacts, rather than only the Star Wars franchise. The five-story, 300,000-square-foot building was designed by Ma Yansong’s MAD Architects and includes 100,000 square feet of gallery space and publicly accessible parkland.

Los Angeles County prosecutors allege that Paul Dean Andrews of Lomita made antisemitic calls to the Jewish Community Center in Redondo Beach in August 2026, including an alleged threat to shoot the facility. A judge at the Torrance Courthouse held Andrews to answer, meaning the prosecution presented sufficient evidence at a preliminary hearing for the felony case to proceed. The Gibby Fire was a fast-moving vegetation fire near Ortega Highway and Gibby Road in unincorporated Rancho Mission Viejo, close to the Orange-Riverside county line.
